Crossing Borders Has Been Published
It's the story of Bill's 1970-71 back pack journey (he thinks the first) the length of the Western Hemisphere. It's a rollicking adventure yarn, a running commentary on what they saw (Palenque, Semana Santa, Inca stonework, desolate Patagonia, dozens of others), and general insights concerning crime, medicine, and what it takes to keep a democracy on its wheels (we come up disturbingly short).
He traveled with a French woman holding a British passport and a US Green card. Her rationalism versus his subjectivity provide counterpoint and result in a more balanced perspective.
Bill will be reading excerpts from the book at several additional venues to be announced.
